Alfred Demosthenes Bevan had an accountancy firm in Guildford early 1900's. Apparently there was a brass plack on the wall of the office in Guildford - any suggestions how I could find the address?

Yes go to your local studies library and ask to look at the nearest town directory, date wise, possibly a Slaters, and check under accountants. these directories started in the mid 1800s and were published regualarly.

Alfred D Bevan is my maternal grandfather.My mother says the firm was in the 'High Street' by the arcade. I use to visit the firm when I was very young. Alfred died when he was 39 years old. Therefore I never got to know him. What is your interest in the firm?
