I have an Elizabeth Ford, married to a George Brinkworth, in St Pancras Church April 15 1865. Elizabeth's father is George Ford and she is of full age and a spinster. According to the 1881 census she was born 1837 1838 in London Middlesex. The only Elizabeth Ford I can find is Jane Elizabeth Ford born St Pancras December 1837 but her father is a James Ford so she is not mine. Anyone able to help please?

It could be Elizabeth was born in 1837 just before civil registration started.

In 1861 Elizabeth was with her family ay 39 Ernest Street, St Pancras. Her father was George Frod, bootmaker, born 1811 Spitalfields; her mother was also Elizabeth, born 1806 Gloucestershire. There were two brothers Henry George, born 1835 St Pancras; and Frederick, born 1845 St Pancras. The family were at the same address in 1851.
In 1841 they were at George Street, St Pancras.

Interesting that Elizabeth senior was born in Gloucestershire, so was George Brinkworth, is there a connection?

I'll have a quick look for Elizabeth's baptism and George/Elizabeth's marriage.
Elizabeth Ford was baptised 3 Dec 1837 St Pancras, Camden, father George Ford, Shoemaker, mother Elizabeth. Birthdate: 9 Nov 1837. Some of these early BMD events are missing from the GRO Index, perhaps this is one of them.
Henry George was baptised 29 March 1835 St Pancras, born 4 March. Family was at Crescent Street.

There was a marriage: George Ford & Elizabeth Tutt on 15 Sep 1834 St Pancras. Could be them.

Many thanks Rose, where did you find the baptism record please. Not aware of any other Brinkworth Ford connection.

Sorry, forgot to say - both baptisms and the marriage record popped up on Ancestry.

Again many thanks Rose. GRO say they will look but the birth may not have been registered.
