Hubert Wakefield born 1903 Cheltenham

I'm trying to trace Hubert Wakefield born 1903 in Cheltenham Glos last known to have been in Port Talbot on the 1911 census. He was also listed to be Walter's ( Hubert's brother) next of kin when Walter enlisted in the army about 1920. Hubert's father Edward William Wakefield born 1870 in Cheltenham also disappeared about the same time.

Hmm I see what you mean. I can't find a marriage for Hubert or a death for him or his father in England/Wales. I can't find them on any passenger list or dying in Scotland................

his mother died in 1912, but there were so many older siblings he could have gone to live with them whilst his father worked, though actually several of his older siblings died young and the eldest daughter living in 1911 never married and died in 1928, did she make a will? have you looked at wills to see if he was an executor maybe?

bertram s sansom nellie married in 1920.

walter's death in 1972 was registered in monmouthshire but he didn't leave a will.

Thanks for all your help, I should have put that I have traced all the siblings and family history. The only ones left are Edward ,Hubert and Gertrude May. Gertrude May married Harry Farnfield but as Harry went on to marry two more times I do not know what happened to Gertrude either.
Edward and Rosetta had 14 children but it seems only 5 got to any age and Rosetta's death was very sad. An inquest was in the local paper.

Hubert Wakefield did live in Port Talbot till his death 1952.
He was formally adopted to a couple called Clarke and became a shop boy.
Hubert clarke married Dilys Roblin 1928.
they had three childen Jean, margaret, and Hubert.
