I am having trouble registering online with the GRO as I do not have the page number of the relevant entry in 1911, despite knowing quarter and volume number. What site can I go on to find this please?

to buy the cert. It should cost around £10. If your are asked to pay more like £20 for standard service you are on a lookalike get-rich quick site.
If you give the details I'll look up the page number for you.............

Thank you so much, craft. Wonderful. And thank you for the link, Segilla, as I can now explore a few more family tree mysteries. Really grateful to you both.

Ordered certificate for SG. Thanks. Now to BMD to hunt for more!
If you know the name age year and quarter it's cheaper (£7) to get a certificate from the appropriate registry office.
Interesting sigma. Can you explain how you get the info you want and know where to go ? My genealogy has ceased of late since I was fed up with getting folded certificates by an uncaring GRO. There's only so much one can do scanning records on line without getting the solid evidence of a certificate.

So you can't just go to a local office and order/collect ? That would kick start me off again, I'm sure.
