Sorry if I am preaching to the converted, and this post has already been done, but just to let you know that you all need to do the Census Form TONIGHT without fail. Obviously some of you will have already done this, but do know a few people who have not done it. This is supposed to be a snapshot of time for this very night, and the form even includes guests who are staying with you tonight. No need to rush out to buy a stamp, as they should have send you a reply paid envelope with the form itself.

I hope you will all heed my warning, as not doing this can result in a £1,000 fine.

What happens if I decide to fill it on Tuesday?

I'm grand with that :-)

Started filling ours out today and realised I don't know his works address....and nor does he!!!
as long as you get it submitted online before the 6th April or post it off to arrive before the 6th april and have filled it in based on the night of the 27th you will not be chased up by the enumerator knocking on your door AFTER the 6th April,
I've just completed mine online, it was very straightforward.
I've done mine on-line, it's really easy, and you don't have to worry about making sure you tick inside the box - etc.
If the enumerator cannot establich that the house is unoccupied but no return is made or that address after the 6th the electronic tracker for the individual form will flag it up and you will be sent a more formal reminder to comply.
I read in another thread where someone said they haven't filled one out before and they have lived at the same address for 19 years.

I've never filled one out either.
Census??
It was an A4 yellow and white booklet last time ummm and you probably did fill it in.
Ive just finished mine online. I just had to do it now as i was worried that i may forget what sex my children were of if we'd had any visitors staying over tonight if i had waited until tomorrow
I've already voided mine by doing it on 23rd.
as long as you filled it in and signed it as being the household for the 27th you have not voided it, you cannot void a census return at all, not even if you try to deface and ruin it with garbage written all over it, the unique ID number will still show you returned it and you would be contacted again and asked to fill in a replacement,
I signed and dated it for 23rd which is when I had the inclination to do it... I've not done much moe interesting since and only won £10 on the euro lottery alas.... I'm not really that bothered about whether it's void or not, it's the first time I've ever completed one.
Would be interested to know how any of the questions about me are not already known.
A friend of mine has got work doing something to do with the census. I presume she`s going around chasing up people who haven`t done their census. Does it pay well? I don`t think it would be worth the abuse she`s probably going to get.
"just to let you know that you all need to do the Census Form TONIGHT without fail." JonnyBoy, can you show me a link to a governmenr site that says that?
Or even a government site...
umm I didnt know my blokes work address and neither did he but found it easy enough on google.
