Unreal Tournament III (XBOX 360) - Player names - online play

Playing online and a duplicate person comes up.

One of them has standard "playername" and the other has "playername(1)".

Why?

It's bugging me like hell.

This happens in most games that can be played on XBL. Essentially it means that the person has a guest playing with them on the same console.

"Playername" is the main gamertag that has an Xbox Live subscription and "Playername(1)" is his guest signed in through another controller on the same console, so basically they're playing split-screen. This can go all the way up to "Playername(3)".
