Press Y to change seat in the tank, assuming no one is sitting in the turret.

no not the turret on top but the one that faces only the direction that the tank is facing direcly on the front of the tank. i see people using it all the time and i have no idea how to use it

You need the perk the allows control of the forward facing gun, sorry dont know its name off hand, but think you need level 55 to get it
