I got a 1.66GHz (whatever that is) but the sims 3 is 2GHz.. would i still be able to play on this laptop?? if not how do i expand my GHz.. (and what is GHz)???

The figure 1.66GHz reders to your processor speed.
The recommended speed for running Sims 3 is 2GHz.

It may well run on your laptop but processor speed isn't the only consideration,graphics capability is also a VERY important part of whether it will play at all.
a 1.66GHz CPU is almost certainly a dual core (meaning it consists of two separate processors each running at 1.66GHz)

The requirements for the SIM3 is a single core CPU of at least 2GHZ which your dual core 1.66GHz actually exceeds.

But as Daffy says, it's the graphics capabilities of your laptop that will also largely effect how well it will run, or even if at all

thanks alot guys. i dont know if this helps but i have a NVIDIA GeForce 8400M.. :S.. im just reading what the sticker says on the laptop. thanks again.!
