Museum art animil crossing

i've been playin animal crossing on the DS for months now but i still cant find any pieces of art that i can donate to the museum does anybody know where i can find some?

You have to join Redd's "gang" when he comes he usually has some artwork in his tent which is found outside the town hall, it usually costs a lot to join and to buy the art.
Redd will sometimes sell you fakes paintings instead of real ones. And Blathers will not exhibit fakes.
