Medion laptop Charger

Hello

I've had my laptop for about a year and a half now and up until recently my cahrger has always seemed to work properly.........plug it in and the charger symbol comes up with it showing that its constanly filling up. Recently when I plug it in the symbol appears but it doesnt show the symbol filling up constantly. Does this mean its not charging and do I need another charger??

Chargers rarely malfunction, but anything is possible.

Is there any damage to the socket on the laptop?
Is the battery seated properly, it may not be making proper contact?
Maybe one of the cells in the battery had died.

Checking to see if the charger is working is simple with any basic multi meter. If you haven't got one see the geek kid next door.

even easier way to check the charger is to just remove the battery from the laptop, if it powers up with no battery then the charger must be fine..

It's more likely a faulty battery.

Is your monitor show high brightness? When you plug your charger into your laptop.
If it is no, then you should try to charge your laptop with another charger.
