You probably have a virus. Does it keep redirecting you to a search page? Sometimes these hackers(or whatever theyre called)redirect you to their own search page. Have you downloaded anything dodgy? Smileys? Anything your not 100% sure about? I downloaded a smiley and my p.c f&*k$d up! Luckily a friend told me wat to do. I had to re-install Windows and will probably lose your stored data & programs, i'm sure you can back them up, i just don't know how! But before you take my word for gospel, don't do anything drastic. Ask a p.c engineer/someone who knows a bit about computers insides! and they should be able to help you. I can only hazard a guess at wat's wrong based on your description. Hope this helps?!
For a start: Backup all important data ASAP (on a CD or 2 if you have a CD writer) then try the following: Reinstall your internet software (see if it fixes it). If not, I would say download Ad-aware, a virus scanner and registry cleaner to check for these sorts of things but you can't get on the web! You may have to reinstall Windows which should be fine provided you back up exsiting data as it could wipe it on reinstall.
