I know it is almost Mid-summer, and the birds are giving us a rousing dawn chorus at 4am. But is there any way to sleep through it for us 40 somethings who wake up at 4am. Every night I am so tired, I am asleep by 9pm thus a vicious circle, up early the next day

It doesn't just happen to 40somethings. It happens to 20somethings too. There is a crow that CAAAAAW CAAAAAAW CAAAAAAWS outside my 9week old baby's bedroom window at 4am which is just what I need isn't it? Thankfully she usually goes back off to sleep once I have scared the bleeding bird off (I have three cats, not that you'd think so) but I can often be found pegging out washing, preparing dinner, sweeping or mopping during the early hours.

So, in short, sorry I can't help with advice on how to go back to sleep but I can sympathise :-)
You could always try ear plugs! Then you cant hear the birds anymore...
umm how does this relate to gaming?

try ear plugs or keeping your windows closed (assuming you have double glazing). thick curtains also help to deaden any noise from outside.
Well its a good time to load up GTA and start killing pedestrians!
get an air rifle and pick them off, if you get one a day you should be able to sleep fine by the end of the month!!! lol :)

(this was a joke btw incase anyone starts getting serious ;P)
Best thing to do is hold down start and select and then press 'up' 'down' 'left' & 'right'.
