how do i download music to my psp?

i have been trying to do this all day and its driving me mad
my psp wont sync with windows media player it just wont regonise it at all
i have the playlist all ready but cant get any further
can anybody please help? it would be greatly appreciated

connect your psp to your pc using the usb cable. it will then show as a new drive. click start>my computer>'I' drive.

From memory there should be a folder marked music or maybe you create one but you simply copy and paste songs into that folder.
