Hi, my nine year old is really interested in designing computer games when he is older and I really want to encourage him (although I'm sure he'll change his mind over the coming years!)
Are there any simple programs or cd-roms that will help him begin to learn the basics of programming or game designing?

Why not get him to set up his own webpage as a practice - these can be done in HTML so will make use of basic computer speak......?
