Simple question really how do yo measure a PC screen - is it horizantaly or diagonally?? (to measure the screen)

It is worthwhile remembering however, that a 15" LCD screen has the about the same viewing area as a 17" CRT monitor. An good inch or so of a CRT tube is hidden within the frame.
