What type of hdtv should I buy for the Playstation3?

as you may have heard PS3 isnt out til march 07 now
gives you more time to save your pennies and get a massive HD plasma screen
try looking somewhere like empiredirect.co.uk for ideas

to maximise the ps3's true hd output you will need a tv offering 1900x1080p(i think thats the no's !) resolution.

Also,dont buy a plasma for gaming.It will suffer from screen burn in certain games ie a temporary image is burnt into the screen.

Screen burn is only a problem with static images that stay on screen for extended periods of time..

Apparently some pubs that screen Sky Sports on plasmas have had screen burn problems. The Sky Sports logo, as on many other channels, stays on screen pretty much 24/7 so becomes burned into the screen.

But I doubt it would be a problem with games, unless you play the same one constantly.

screen burn is only a potential risk in the first few hundred hours of the screens life
after that most users report no significant problems with games consoles

many people are complaining that saints row leaves screen burn which is why i say go lcd.
