new turtle beach PX3 faulty?

have just bought my son a turtle beach PX3 for his PS3. i've set it up correctly but i can't get any audio but the mic works. briefly had audio in the left ear, touched the connection at the back of the console and the sound went. have made sure its connected properly but no joy. shall i give in and return it assuming argos allow this as they don't let you return games, consoles etc?

I am looking for a 4000 piece jigsaw called "Napoleon's Winter Games" by artist Jean-Jacques Loup and manufactured by Heye. If you know anyone who has this jigsaw and are willing to sell it please let me know.

yes, took me a while to get mine working (think I posted on AB when I bought them) There are alot of settings to get right but it does sound like they're faulty if you've had intermittent sound when moving the connectors.

found out what the problem was...his brand new never used ps3 cable!! lucky i could borrow one to test it, saved me alot of hassle! thanks for your help :)
