How to load Red Dead Redemption?

I recently bought RDD for XBox 360 and started the game up for the first time. It was all good until I selected Single Player on the title screen and the first mission started loading. Then my XBox sounded like it stopped loading the game, it got quieter and the pictures that are usually supposed to change dissapeared the loading screen became just a black screen with the loading graphic of a gun reloading down in the bottom left corner with the words "Exodus In America". That is all of the game that I have experienced and I sat there for over 15mins waiting and all I saw was the loading screen. Please help! I have tried cleaning the disc etc and nothing has worked, the same thing has happened over and over again! Thanks for reading and please help me!
