I have a recipe I'd like to make but it uses Oatmeal. I have tried to buy this from Asda, Morrisons, & the
Co-op but can't find it. I saw Oatbran in Morrisons but don't know if this would do. please help!! thanks

oatmeal is porridge. I think.

from the picture in the recipe, it doesn't look like porridge. I'm sure I've seen Oatmeal in some shop ages ages ago but you know what its like, when you want something you can never find it!!
Pinwheel oatmeal is not the same as porridge oats,try health food shops

thanks for that link society. I have looked in the supermarkets I mentioned & searched the cereal aisle as well as home baking. I haven't got to Tesco yet but done a search on their online shopping site but nothing found. Will keep looking!
You don't say what the recipe is.....but you can find rolled oats or porridge oats in most healthfood shops.
Surprised you can't find it in the Co-op. Every Co-op I've been in has it.

the recipe is for flaxseed & oatmeal bars which sounds good to me so want to try it. I'll have another browse in my Co-op but I did search with the breakfast cereals & home baking aisles but then my Co-op is quite a small store
Try a health food shop
I buy Mornflake medium oatmeal from Sainsbury's

had a feeling Sainsburys would sell it but unfortunately I live some 20 miles from one of their branches. I will keep looking elsewhere. thanks again for postings
