Cannellini beans, hot or cold?

Can red kidney beans, cannellini beans, mung beans,lentils and chickpeas be eaten cold from the tin, (after rinsing), or do they have to be heated through.

You can eat them straight from the tin maybe in a bean salad.

Thanks tiggerblue10, i will do just that now that i know it is safe to do so. The instructions on the tin are not clear on that.

All tined beans are cooked so you don't have to worry. Come to think of it I don't know of any food that you get in tins that are not cooked!

Where did you find tined mung beans and lentils?

I bought some tinned puy lentils from tesco. Weeks ago mind you - still not used them!
