I have to have a low residue diet for 5 days before my colonoscopy. This means I can eat chicken, fish, boiled potatoes, cauli florets, carrots, white bread, cheese, white rice, white pasta and not a lot else.
Any ideas of any recipes I could make rather than just cooking them as they are listed for 5 days?!

Sounds like fish pie and pasta bakes to me.
This may sound bland, but boiled pasta, a tin of tuna and grated mature cheddar is very nice.

You could also make a nice bubble and squeak with the veg and spuds and have with some nice grilled chicken.
Scarlett - can you use things like onion powder, garlic powder, herbs of any kind? If so, you can do a lot with what they are allowing you to eat.

You can make Cajun Chicken, Lemon Pepper Chicken or Fish, macaroni & cheese, pasta salad using the above powders, cauliflower with cheese, parsley buttered potatoes, roasted potatoes with olive oil and herbs. Too may things to list!!! :)

I can have herbs and spices but pots need to be without skins, so roast may not be allowed cos of the crispy outer bit!!
Home made chips?

Par boil the cut up pots and then cook in the oven with a spray of oil or no oil at all if preferred :)
My mum has had to follow a low residue diet on more than one occasion (Crohns Disease) and she said that simple is best. Poached fish or grilled chicken with boiled or mashed spuds, cauliflower or macaroni cheese and steamed carrots. Looks a bit bland on the plate, but still tasty - it's only for a few days after all!
Just another thought! I stayed with a friend recently, and she made cauli and blue cheese soup. Didn't get the recipe, but it was just a variation on broccoli and stilton soup - very nice though!
Scarlett - if you can have most or all of this, it will make the chicken or fish or potatoes very tasty :) Just sprinkle it on before you cook them - you can add as much or as little as your taste permits. He sells this premade for LOTS of money in very small containers - but he gives us the recipe free :)

Thanks everyone for your answers- I feel much more inspired now!!xx
You would be safe with roast potatoe the way in which they are cooked should not affect the amount of residue in them
The main thing to do is you spices and herbs to create lots of lovely flavours and hopefully time will fly by for you
