please could someone tell me what is the difference between sheperds pie and cottage pie thankyou.

Sheperds pie is made with lamb, and cottage pie is made using beef :-)

Shephards pie is usually made with minced lamb
Cottagepie minced beef..

thankyou for your answer i have often wondered, even in a shop when eating it ha ha thankyou.

Except in my house where shepherds pie is made with beef, onions and baked beans.
