For the last three months or so we've had a 'pop-up- charity book-swap' going on about once a week in an empty branch of Barclays Bank in the middle of Leicester. Suddenly this has gone (the bookshop, not the building!) Does anyone know (a) either where it has gone and what has happened to all the books or (b) if there is anything similar anywhere? They had books that were too tatty for charity shops but still ok and I miss them!

Can't help with your question dubsie, but that sounds like a great idea. I have loads of "well loved" ie tatty books that I don't want but can't bear to throw away.
Will have to see if there is a similar scheme in my area ( not too far from Leicester actually)
