sandy Roe, I must have misunderstood the definition of "coarse" in my dictionary-coarse fish-freshwater fish that is not of the salmon family.. Another senior moment!
Reminds me of "anyone but England"! Thought of Andy Murray !! Fancy any fish at the minute,so long as it is wih chips.
Maybe trout are a class of small salmon? If so, my answer was wrong.

No finger bowls! The last time we had them out guests drank from them. Then I had to do the same so they wouldn't feel embarrassed. And I was using mine as an ashtray too.
I love finding out how the other half lives. I thought the finger bowl was to keep the fish fingers in till you were ready to eat them.
