Who agrees that Cadburys chocolates don't taste or smell the same since they were taken over by Kraft? Ta Muchly...as I dive back into my seriously indifferent box of Roses!

All these people are watering down chocolate products to save money .. and think we won't notice.
Even Galaxy twin packs are now 2x125g instead of 2x150g for fore money.
Robbers.
methinks they use an oil mix instead of butter. I love Roses and have a tin but dont like the purple nuts.
Absolutely Al, many brands of chocolates have lost their nice rich, creamy texture and flavour. And they are more sugary than chocolaty in taste too.
They are all conning us, really, to their own ends.

Thornton's is probably still a good bet tho.
Try Hotel Chocolat...pricey but darn , they're good
The Roses are soya - wot the hell is that, its not a cocoa bean
So agree Ladyalex, we're forcing ourselves to get through a Tasting box from Hotel Chocolat as the best before is next week! They're quite slimming chocolates, because they're so pricey, you make them last usually.
I won't buy Cadbury since the plastic cheese people took them over though I was annoyed to see they also own Kenco.
Worry not, cc. We have eaten boxes after their sell by date and they are still as good.

(Over-ordered 'by mistake' one Christmas)
I bought a box of milk tray for Mrs MM. they were her favourite, not any more. I think this will put Cadbury out of business in this country.
according to the daily mail today there will be a shortage of chocolate
I'm a CDM fan and haven't noticed any difference in this product but the price!!!!????
Chocolate has certainly become less tasty in the last few years. What I find so cynical is how so many packs of biscuits are now sold in packs of 9! KitKats are a good example. It's so obvious they used to be packs of 10 but to save money the company now packs them as 9 but charges the same price as they did for 10.
I only buy Lindt swiss chocolate and it is lovely. I went off Cadbury's a few years ago.
I had a box of milk tray for Christmas, I didn't notice any different - but then I don't really like milk chocolate, I prefer plain.
Must admit that new Galaxy Dark is fantastic : )
