Mark as Best Answer

I have noticed this on the answers to my questions.
What is it.
Why doesn't seem to it work.
Will it ever work.

Most of us don't know the answer to that one either - you only get it on your own questions, and if you mark one as Best Answer, it doesn't seem to make any difference to the thread.

We use to have a star system where you mark answers with 1,2 or 3 stars.

In that case I think Ed should bring back the star rating system,as this mark etc doesn't work and is pointless!

It's to let you know that if our very own Mark Rae posts, to always consider his replies as gospel and pucker.......otherwise he'll visit you once you're asleep and play Jethro Tull very very loud. :0)

Well it works for the OP. If you need to go back and check an answer if you've rated it it's easier to find...

I have just posted a question in Suggestions asking if the Ed can replace Mark As Best Answer with the old star rating system.I have never seen it(the star system),but everyone that does mention it says it was fine.
