I have bought a tin of chopped tomatoes from ASDA. I have got eggs and cheese, and I want to add some of the tomatoes to the omlette. Can you use tinned tomatoes in an omlette and how do I do it?

Yes...but I would drain off the juice. And don't put them in until the last minute. I'd cook the omelette as normail...when it's almost done put the toms on top and stick under the grill.

Okay when do I add the tomatoes? At the start of the egg cooking process, near the end??
End. Get the omeletter until it's almost set...add you toms and cheese and put under the grill to finish off.
Much better as a garnish on a nice fluffy omelette
personally i'd mix the tomatoes in with the beaten egg before i poured it into the pan and cook it all together. when the underneath is cooked, grate some cheese over the top and pop it under a hot grill.
yes

Yes it worked, I just chucked it all in to the frying pan. What does the grill do to it?
drain them well...and leave on some kitchen roll to soak as much juice out as you can...i added them once and ended up with a great omelette but a big puddle of red water all over the plate and pan...
