Another post on insurance just made me think of this. We have a policy at work which has 4 vans listed on it and 5 named drivers on the policy. When I added the 5th driver and another driver for a 48 hour period, the insurance company actually refunded us money. About 40 quid each time I believe. I could understand them just not adding anything to the premium but why would they actually refund you for adding drivers to a policy?

It can happen. I had my son on my policy as a named additional driver and as he was 20 at the time it made the premium quite high even though we both have a good claims free record. I then added my wife as another additional driver and it resulted in the premium coming down.
