I've never tasted it but know I'll like it, what are they like? Do you buy yours or make them from scratch, if so have you got a recipe?

Love them too, but I buy them, wherever I can get them!

Redhelen, thanks but I'd prefer a normal full fat recipe as these low fat low carb recipes have usually low taste compared to their full fat recipes.

Boxtops do you mean from the supermarket or from the kebab shop?
Question Author
Actually redhelen I think that's identical to the normal recipe so thanks.

Costco

I've made them-but now I buy them as the brand I get-Cauldron-do not seem greasy, and I can see the nutritional info. They can absorb a lot of fat during frying-that's the drawback to them.
I have them with red pepper hummous and greek yogurt.....great in a wrap also.

I buy these - http://cauldronfoods....spiced-falafel-bites/
Supermarket, micky - Tesco, Asda, Sainsburys (among others!)
yep, costco for me too. they come in a nice big box, i have 2 in the freezer right now. i have them in pitta bread with salad and natural yoghurt and a smear of mango chutney. i put 6 frozen ones on a plate and microwave them for a minute or so then press 3 into a toasted pitta, delish!

Wow I didn't realize that there was such a big falafel fanbase, I think I'll buy some next week ad then maybe try to improve one the flavour by making my own, especially with the minty yoghurt. Mango Chutney and red pepper hummous and greek yogurt dips you make sound so delicious.
