Could a Cabernet Sauvignon go at all with chicken alfredo? I don't know much about wine but this was a gift from someone, and it's all we have.

Though not usually recommended for other than red meat meals, you could sure give it a try.  Zinfandel, another red wine, would be more appropriate, but I'm sure you'll enjoy the Cabernet... Enjoy...

If it's all you have, then I can't think of anything better.... ;o)

(Don't know what chicken Alfredo is either)

I agree with Clanad just enjoy it, but as it's such a rich creamy dish try putting the wine in the fridge for a while - might blend with the food a little better. It's your choice.

Don't put red wine in the fridge Cetti recommends!

Cabernet Sauvignon is perfectly fine with Alfredo, although white wine would be better.

Chicken Alfredo is grilled chicken with pasta (usually fettucine pasta) in a thick creamy white parmesan sauce.

So, we had it served at room temperature and everything went together wonderfully. Although I must say that the other half of the bottle went even better with the following night's beef and potato meal.
Thanks everybody!
