Surely coating and frying them in batter would make them taste nicer? Maybe even dipping in melted cheese and then breadcrumbs before frying? Agree or do you have a better way of making them taste palatable to those that want to eat them?

I like sprouts, but I dont understand why you would force yourself to eat them when you clearly dont like them?
Just steam them lightly so they still have a bit of bite in them, toss them in cooked bacon bits and chopped cooked chestnuts - lovely.
They have a strong taste, and also bring on flatulence...
part steam them and then roast them in a little hot oil with some lardons and some freshly ground black pepper, when they start looking a little crunchy on the outside they are ready.

Cazzz lol. You just reminded me of Jamie Oliver at Christmas saying " If you don't like Brussell Sprouts then you don't have to eat them." For some reason sprouts have somehow become tangled into our Christmas dinner and even though not many eat them they just have to be there. Weird.
What's a lardon webbo?
Small pieces of bacon

Chestnuts and sprouts? Strange but Id give that a go.
What are lardons? Sounds bacony.
Small bits of Bacon, preferable smoked/ streaky, the thicker the better.

They're delicious if you boil them in lightly salted water for about 30 or 40 minutes.
