Tomorrow I will be serving pigs trotters for some friends and one of them is a vegetarian. A I don't want them to feel left out I intend to fashion one out of vegetables has anyone got any ideas? I was thinking of making the bones out of asparagus, the trotter out of mashed potato died pink and the skin out of quorn strips? Any better ideas?

Sara or the words "Swine"
You could use a sweet potato for the "meat", tastier than mash and more or less the right shape.
I can't think of an answer to that, sorry.. you're on your own!
At the risk of being called a sad person by some people on here - you could make the pigs trotter out of a whole artichoke and go from there
Do your friends know you are serving pigs' trotters? I think I would want to know beforehand!
reminds me of that scottish guy on come dine with me who bought pigs trotters for 30p each and everyone hated then!
I wonder what cow's hooves taste like...
