My Scones didn't rise

Why? I put the right amount of baking powder. Is it the wetness of the dough? Need a hotter oven? They tasted GREAT but were molre like biscuits.

did you use self raising flour?
I always add extra baking powder & make sure you give the flour a sifting from a good height.
Try not to handle them too much.

You might be cutting them too thin . I find mine rise better when at leasr 1/2 inch thick.
