Sweet potato in microwave!

following on from my salmon poist, I was wondering if it was possible to cook sweet potatoes in the microwave, like you would a jacket potato?

Yes ..but they cook a lot quicker than the
usual potato , so trial and error for timing !!
i think so too.
I always do it in the microwave! Cut it open, score the flesh and sprinkle salt and pepper and a bit of butter on it and cook for about 5 minutes

Is there any way of making the skin crisp up, as it's usually a bit floppy and not too nice?
You won't get crisp skin if you use a microwave.
I don't eat the skin of sweet potatoes, it's a bit tough for my liking! I didn't think you were supposed to eat the skins!
Do them in the oven the old fashioned way,they take a lot less time than potatoes and they are lovely and crispy that way!
