.....those bisuits, They are big, 3 or 4 inches across, mainly coconut, but with a flat chococolate layer - if I recall correctly, they came 6 to a pack.

Been eating Anzac biscuits and was reminded of these

i used to love these as a kid and only the other day i was also wondering about them, so started looking for them, i found a version of them in waitrose, but that day i had my diet head on so resisted the temptation, a dessision i have regretted ever since lol and im sure it won`t be long till i return and make a purchase :-)
Macaroons, usually available in Tescos. Quite easy to make them your self Google Macaroons and you will find simple recipes
the ones i remember weren't macaroons. They were like enourmous chocolate mc vitie, with a scalloped-ish edge.
Maybe they just seemed big at the time.

Like wagon wheels, eh! - they always seemed bigger.

Only have a sainsbury's and a moorisons round here. Not in morrisons, so I'll try sainsbury's when I'm near.

Ta for answers
If it is the macaroons then Poundland sometimes sell them in a packet of 8 (I think) very moist and very moreish. They don't always have them so when I do see them in stock I am always tempted to buy some
i have never seen them in a supermarket. they were sold in the corner shops when i was youger. sadly no more corner shops!
