I need to sell a rather large TV which would be difficult to get in my car and also post. Is there an option where I can say to pick up from house? This may have to be a local sell.

Whatever you do, do not accept payment by PayPal.

You can get your buyer to sign on collection, take a photo of him putting it in to his car - take every measure you can think of, but if he tells PayPal he has not received it, and you cannot provide a tracking number or 'signed for' royal mail receipt, he will get his money back.

A urine sample or a lockof hair for aDna test would be good in case of court action.

Alternatively take payment by cash on collection.
p.s check the money for forgeries with a uv light or a money checker pen.

A court action is all well and good - if you can trace him, and even if you get him in to court and win, enforcing the judgement is another matter.

Far better to protect yourself from the outset than set yourself up for a load of hassle.

Many people have been caught out this way, and lost a lot of money, even when they have only released the goods after transferring the PayPal payment to their bank account.

make sure theyre not an illegalimmigrant so ask for a photocopy of their passport a signed phograph of the queen mother and vitally a northern soul cd.
