Recipe for a nice tomato sauce to go with meatballs and spaghetti - not too thick or bolognesey. Just a light herby garlicky tomato sauce.

Add a tin of toms to a saucepan then add garlic and herbs, et voila, a herby and garlicky sauce!

Put it through a blender if you don't like it chunky or coarse.

Personally, I would add a couple of chillis to it too, and some chopped onion - and not whizz it.
When I said toms of course I meant chopped tomatoes LOL
Similar to above...

2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 cup diced onion
4 cloves garlic, chopped
1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
2 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
salt to taste
:
Directions:
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the onion in the oil until translucent. Add the garlic and cook and stir another 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in the tomatoes, red pepper flakes, and Italian seasoning. Season with salt. Cook until completely heated, another 2 to 3 minutes
