LIDL, About 3 a litre and its more than good enough for normal use. Keep the expensive stuff for specific uses.

Thank you. Yes we have previously bought the Lidl olive oil as it seems to be the cheapest around, except that a round journey costs us 2 to get to the nearest Lidl store.
I buy the extra virgin olive oil (east end brand) its around 14.99 for 5 litres. You can get the promice olive oil from there from 10.99 for about 5 litres also but its not extra. I have brought both and the extra virgin is much thicker greener you can tell with the quality. Use olive oil for 16 years. I used to pay 3 to 4 pounds from supermarkets every week and be skimpy with it.
I was upset when it went to 14.99 but its still very cheap.
Check out store call Paks! Its an asian store! So when asian stores cator for asians they have to keep the prices reasonable and low to keep their customers flowing back in. They do well. I live in derby, they have one in notts and other towns, not all.
