Ages ago I got a small camembert with a raspberry compote from Markies, but I've not been able to find it since. Anyone have any idea of somewhere else I can get it? I don't want a massive one, I'd never eat all that.

Tescos do something similar in their cheese department (not the cheese counter)

It comes in a little pack of two with some kind of compote or jelly with it (not sure what flavour) and you bung it in the oven - it's very nice!

Oh thank you very much! I'm going to go in by tonight! Yummm x
I love it, too. Aldi do a very reasonably priced one, too, as do the other supermarkets. as chazza says, you'll find them with the cheese in the chilled section.

Hi Kleiber,

I went to Tesco yesterday but they didn't have any (it was a Tesco Exporess, which is probably why). I have an Aldi near to me, I'm gonna go and have look :o)
Can you not just buy some camambert, dip it in beaten egg, then flour, then egg again then breadcrumbs and then deep fry it for a few minutes. Serve with cranberry sauce.

Can also be done with brie

LOL, I could but I don't have a deep fat fryer (nor time during the week) :o)
I've got some in the freezer (they freeze very well, so you can stock up!) - I might go & have some now - you've all made me hungry!! K x
Ooo you dont have to fry Camembert - cook it on the oven. Take the 'plastic' paper off anf place it in the wooden tub and cook for about 20 mns.
You can micro them as well but it can be a bit hit and miss
Serve with cranberry jelly and a crisp salad - yumm!!
