we've just had salmon for tea tonight. i did it in the microwave. 3 fillets, a large squirt of lemon juice and some mixed herbs, in a pyrex dish with a lid. 3 minutes in the micro, then left it for about half an hour (while i sorted out the veg and hollondaise), then another 3 minutes and left it to stand while it drained the peas, carrots, potatoes and broc. it was (even though i say so myself) totally delicious. i've found that it doesn't stink the house out quite as much if you do it in the microwave.
Hello, Mrs ACB does slices (fillets) of salmon in the microwave. A generous sprinkle of balsamic vinegar, sea salt and fresh ground black pepper is applied. It needs to be covered but you must use low to medium power to get a steamed effect. How long depends on the size. She prefers to fry slices of salmon (bone in) in a pan with the same extras but covers with a lid to get the same steamed effect. Hope this helps. Cheers, Andy
i use full power and it works perfectly.
I'm not a microwave lover so put mine in foil with squirt of lemon and some black pepper into a hot oven.
I (just barely) defrost mine in the microwave. Be careful not to zap it too much, just slightly, then saute it in a pan, after sprinkling some creamy italian salad dressing on it.
