does anyone have one of these? i recently bought one in aldi on special offer and am hoping it's going to solve a problem for me when cooking outdoors, instead of a bbq, which i find very hit and miss. it's more like a fairly large electric hotplate than a grill and the instructions that come with it are very basic ie. switch on, put food on, cook. i would be very grateful for any opinions from anyone who has one, in terms of what it cooks meat and veg like, how long it takes to cook things, and was it worth the (approx) 15 i paid for it. thanks.

Never had one ethanryan, but a quick tip for perfect barbecued food, is to always let the smoke/flames die down before putting the food on to cook. Cook chicken breasts in a conventional oven first, and then char gently over the barbie to finish. That stops them from turning black and burnt on the outside and remaining uncooked in the middle.
