I would like to espalier a fig tree on a west facing wall of a small patio. The wall is about 5' high by 20' wide. The area gets sun from about 10am to 2pm. I would like to get fruit from the tree, but am more interested in the effect I would get from the unusual treatment. Do you have a specific fig which might work for this situation? Thank you Sharon

Brown Turkey is as good as any, they all grow roughly the same anyway
actually espaliering figs is a good way (and not uncommon)to grow them as the fruit gets more sunshine. Make sure that you restrict the roots to encourage fruit and strong growth
