tinned chestnuts

Does anyone know where we can get tinned /vacuum-packed chestnuts?
They`re not in the normal supermarkets it seems...
They are available at Xmas but haven`t seen them since!Many thanks for any help...

Are you sure they're not in your supermarket?? I can always get mine in the Chinese section. Failing that, your local ethnic food shop should have some.
ASDA and Morrisons have them. That's where I buy them, although they are not easy to find. Both s'mkts seem to have them on the top shelf.

Thank you both...Lakitu and rescuer for your answers...very helpful..I`d tried Tesco`s and Sainsbury`s but will go to the other ones now or our local shop...we love them with Brussels!!!!Thanks again for replying...
Hi I have bought them at Sainsbury's recently. They were on the shelves where the dearer oil and spices were, if they have that section in your local store
The ones in teh chinese section will be water chestnuts - and you want christmas chestnuts I guess ...... as in "roasting on an open fire" Try waitrose - or even ebay!!!
health food stores are your best bet
