Definately get a Panasonic - they arn't cheap but they make fantastic bread & cakes. The ones that get used a couple of times and then end up rusting in the garage are they ones that arn't Panasonic!
Mine is also a Panasonic and it is brilliant - not only for bread for also dough (for making rolls and baked loaves), pizza dough, naan breads plus it can do cakes as well. They are not the cheapest around but I have found the Panasonic to be reliable, sturdy and gives consistent results. I make a loaf of bread every 3 or so days and often do a pizza dough at weekends (or a naan bread mix) so it gets used fairly often. I have no hesitation in recommending it btw.
