I'd do three for each. Some'll eat more, some might not touch them at all. After a bit, nobody sems to bother about the food anyway, and there'll be lots of other things for thtem to nibble at.

1+1/2 each ..if you are doing other stuff ..
sausage rolls ,nibbles etc....

You are quite rude you know! You already asked this question, about feeding 160 people for 150 - and you don't acknowledge the answers already given you! My advice was, and this is coming from somebody who worked at Rover as a cook/supervisor for over 19 years was NOT to do sandwiches! Do a platter of cold meats and buttered rolls. Do OPEN rolls - that is filling on half of each roll you've got to spread your costs! Go look up your original question there were some good ideas
I agree with you merciasounds, a little thanks doesn't take 2 minutes to post.

I also gave a reply as well. It was a link to all the supermarkets who are doing BOGOF.
Tbh - spending 150 on an assumed 160 guests doesn't sound very much at all. If you have a big and varied buffet, then the money'll soon be swallowed up. I often do them for our garden parties, and although the guest list may not total 160 people, there are plenty of - hungry - ones there sometimes. if you start adding prawns and other seafood, fruit, cake, etc., etc., plus rolls or sandwiches, vol au vents, canapes, breadsticks........you won't be able to do it on 150. If it's just rolls, crisps, a few nibbles...then yes, but by the amount of guests you're expecting, I assume that it's going to be something like catering for a wedding party, or graduation do with everyone invited, so I doubt if your money'll take you very far. Best of luck, however. It means a lot of work. x
Hmmm, still no thanks?
I DJ and constantly see buffets and the waste that goes on.

If 150 people are attending then only 75 will end up eating or even less. I costantly see food getting put in big bags and thrown away.
Chillout folks!!! Cnellany is probably just stressing out and/or up to their elbows in mayonnaise!...Cnellany, Mercia's answer to your 1st question was spot on (as they all were). My Mum and I do this kind of thing all the time although we now charge much more as we have built a mini business - without even trying! Important thing is to make sure you have someone to help you, have a plan of action and try to enjoy it too. There's nothing worse than knocking your pan in trying to help and please others only to find that you hated every minute.

How good is that BOGOF link!? have passed it on to all my pals!
