I have a little portable tv which power off a 12v adapter. I have only had it a couple of weeks, last week it went off for no reason and would not work. I replaced the adapter and after watching for 1/2 an hour, it went off again. I am trying to find out what is causing this.
Thanks

It could be that the power adapter isn't up to the job and is overheating due to the tv taking too much current.

What is the rating ( how many Volts or Watts ) on the tv and the power adapter?

Is the tv an lcd type or crt (old fashioned ) type. The older tvs need more power due to the way they work.
