Hi, The wife has undergone some quite extensive dental surgery. She will not be able to chew for a few days.
Surviving on vitamen drinks etc.
Any ideas for some easy to swallow meals?
Regards

Trout, mackerel, chicken, salmon mousses

Soups of all sorts - make a 'chunky' veg one for everyone and then liquidise hers

Risottos

Rice (and other milk) puddings
scrambled eggs
omelette
bread & butter with a scraping of jam, marmite etc....
soft boiled egg & solders
cereal left in milk to go soggy
pancakes
pasta in sauce
baked beans
fish in sauce
tea, coffee or hot chocolate with biscuits dunked inside
ready brek

An acquired taste but tripe and onions with mashed potato.

Well, I like it!
Stir fry foods or rice/pasta based dishes, try and make sure she avoids too many sugary foods as these are the ones that tend to come in easy to eat form.
All the best to your wife rodz bless her. Just give her non chewable liquidy type foods as the other posters have said , just what and when she feels she can try them , and probably little and often .Oh and try to make sure her mouth is cleaned after eating to keep the surgery infection free and aid the healing. xxx

Thanks again Rodz
I recently had some dental work done and could not eat crunchy hard food for a week, so I made up the following dishes, which were quite yummy and nutritious:-

Potato and mushroom curry
Lentil dahl
Sweet potato, carrot and pea curry
Mushroom rice
