Have just bought a duck from Somerfield (before you ask, it's dead) I've got it home and I think it smells off throught the packaging. I've phoned the Supermarket and they'll say they will change it.
Is it off, or do they always smell strong?

They do smell stronger than i.e. chicken, but it shoudn't smell unpleasant. I woudn't even chance it. you know the saying..... If in doubt ......
A friend of mine had me in stitches relating the time she cooked duck. It smelled so bad in the oven she phoned a friend and was assured it always smells that bad when cooking. She stuck with it & enjoyed the meal!
If you can smell it through the packaging it's off - take it back!
