They are one of the spices I use when making a curry (along with ground coriander, fresh chillies, mustard seeds and turmeric)
They are mainly used in Indian cooking for flavouring curries and chapatis, and other dishes. It's also said to be an aphrodisiac.
ALso used in Moroccan and Spanish cookery.
Jugglering decides to zoom out to shops on the morrow and buy said more freshly garnered cumin seeds - well, you never know how they might help (aphrodisiac eh?) hehe
No Chilli is complete without it as well
