Black Sambuca

What exactly is black sambuca? Is it a cocktail, or just a spirit? And what's the difference between it and ordinary sambuca?

Sambuca is a liqueur produced by the infusion of Witch Elder bush and Licorice. Black sambuca tends to have a much more liquorice like taste than the white. black is a lot more difficult to light, but mega hot, i'd stick to the white if i were u!
